Hey, everyone. So I know it's been quite quiet over here lately, but just to prove that in fact I am still alive and still making things, I share with you some photos of a quilt I made for my dear friend, Adina. We've been friends since freshman year of college (over 11 years now!!) and she requested a quilt, so what was I to do? I picked a relatively simple pattern because I wanted a hope of finishing it before she turned 31! I chose one of my favorite fabric lines - Aviary 2 by Joel Dewberry. Then I got to work! See the results below!

After doing all the piecing, I struggled a bit with how to quilt it, but ultimately I decided to do 3 parallel lines going down the middle of each white and gray line. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Here's a closeup of the front, you can see the quilting lines (and that's Adina looking down at me). |
Here's a photo of the back. I chose a simple solid green back and used purple for the binding.
Well, that's it. I hope you all enjoyed seeing my latest finished project!

LOVE it! I really like the color placement and the clean lines.
ReplyDeleteGlad you posted this - and I'm glad to have seen it in person! I'm sure she loves it. o:)
